The area around "Llangollen" is amazing, apart from the town, there is the Steam Railway,
the Horse Drawn canal boats the Horseshoe Pass, The Ponderosa shop & (cafe in the clouds)
and the Lunar Landscape as you near the Worlds End,for a Picnic

This area is very popular with walkers and all capabilities catered for,
the first walk cenres round the Horseshoe Pass and is suitable for all the family,
there is a climb involved,and the path can be muddy at times,
finishing with a second walk & picnic in the tranquillity of the Words End,

Leave Llangollen and Drive West up the Horseshoe Pass and park at the top in front of the
Panderosa Shop & Cafe we always enjoy a rumage through the shop,

**The  First Walk,**
"The Blue Lagoon" (3 miles)

Be Very Careful Cross The Main Road, You Will See The Path Heading Up The Hill,
There Are Various Walks Here But You Want To Go Straight Ahead And Uphill,

This Path s Goes For Miles But We Are Only Going 1.5 Miles Heading For
TheBlue Lagoon
Its Hidden Not Everybody Knows About It So Keep It A Secret,shhh

Walk About Half A Mile Uphill You Will See The Main Path Fork And A Fence,
You Want To Vere Right On The Fainter Path & Continue Up
Stopping Regular To Turn Round And Enjoy The Panoramic Views Below,

After About 1 mile You Will Find Yourself On The Rim Of A Very Deep Quarry,
Nestled In The Bottom Of It About 100mt Below Is A Lake Of Brilliant Cobalt Blue,
This Is The Blue Lagoon,

Continue Round The Rim And Follow The Path That Will Take You Back
Down To The Car Park,Just In Time For A Quick Ice Cream At The Shop
Before Heading To The End Of The World ( The Worlds End)

A well Kept Secret

From The Ponderosa Cafe,Drive Round The Side Of It And Find A Single Track Road
Going Down The Back Of It,Dont Ask For Directions The Locals Wont Tell You,
Drive The Lanes Following The Finger Posts (Worlds End) The Landscape Will
Start To Look Like The Surface Of The Moon, After About 5 Miles Or So The Grass
Is Lush Green You Will Pass A Very Old Very Large House On The Left, Soon After
The Grass Verge On The Right Widens This Is Where You Park,
If You come to a Ford (water running across the road at a bridge)
Then You Have Just Passed The Parking Area,

The Second Walk,

KIDS OF ALL AGES LOVE THIS ONE, ITS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE,
WE GIVE THIS ONE  ***** Stars

"The Worlds End"
Leave The Car,
There Is A Babbling Brook (water tumbling over rocks in the bed of the stream)
Walk Upstream You Will Come To The Ford And The Bridge, Do Not Cross The Bridge

Instead Keep Right And Take The Path,Follow This Up, You Will Still Hear The Water
After About 1 Mile Keep Listening, Keep Walking, Keep Listening, Keep Walking,
You Can Hear Water, Water, Water, Silence ?
WHAT ?

You Could Hear A Pin Drop Its So Quiet,Stop Go Back ,Retrace Your Steps,
Silence, Silence, Silence,Sound Of Water?
This Is The Worlds End,

Its Amazing Is Your Minds Playing Games,Go Back And Forward As Often As You Like
Sound Of Water Running Water, Water, Silence?
Its Not Surprising That Theres A Lot of Myths About This Area ,
Going Back Hundreds Of Years,
We Have Worked It Out, But It Would Spoil It For You,
