The Glen Turrett Walk To Ben Chonzie (nr Crieff)
**Directions To Get Here**
From
Edinburgh M9 (from Glasgow M80, then M9) to J11 and A9 to Greenloaning
then
A822 to Crieff.take the A85 Crieff to Comrie road, 3/4 mile west of Crieff
just
as you leave Crieff turn right signed the "Famous Grouse Experience"
drive
past it and immediately look for the road on the Left signed LOCH TURRETT
follow
this narrow road for aprox 4 miles you will arrive at a car park
at
the end of the road the Dam is directly in front of you
**THE WALK**
From
the Car Park go to the Right of the Dam
go
over the Stile follow the path that takes you along the right of the Reservoir
the
path is rough in places but easy to follow,the water is on your Left
at
two point there are Waterfalls and Water running accross the path
you
can cross by Stepping Stones these are ideal spots for a Picnic
the
path is aprox 3 miles long and for inexperienced Ramblers we would suggest
at
this point you RETURN by the same route to the Car Park
Experienced
Ramblers may wish to continue onward and upwards
to
the Summit of Ben Chonzie at 3055ft/931mt
and
Return back on the opposite side of the Reservoir
to
the Car Park (aprox 12 miles)
IT
IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU CONTINUE
PAST
THE END OF THE PATH THAT YOU ARE PROPERLY
EQUIPPED
FOR THE CONDITIONS AND HAVE WITH YOU

Disabled & Less Agile Ramblers
There
is limited access,however there is a good Tar track accross the dam
and
various paths on the left of the Reservoir that are suitable
depending
on your Disability and the Weather Conditions
The
only access to the right hand side of the Reservoir is over a Stile
depending
on your disability you maybe able to go there
